Final Requirements:

Please answer a few questions to help me improve this course.
2. Due: Before Friday (at the latest):
Document your "Discourse Community" project on the GPD website.
Create a representation/documentation of your project that will convey a good sense of your endeavor to someone who has never seen it before.
I would say that at a minimum you should:
1. Describe your project in at least one paragraph.
2. Upload at least three images with captions.
3. Provide a link(s) to any work you did that is online (see "Help").
However, you should be the judge of what is necessary to communicate what your project is to a total stranger, or a perspective student ...
HOW TO:
Go to http://gd.chadwickwood.com and log in. You will be taken to your personal page. This page is where you can put anything you want (as long as it's images and text), and not where you post your project documentation.
At the bottom of your page you will see "COURSEWORK FALL 2007". Rolling over that text will reveal the assignments that have been entered by your teacher (me) for your courses (only this one so far; we're the guinea pigs). Click on the text that says "Untitled Project" to add your project. You will be taken to the page for entering your text and uploading images.
In that page anything that turns yellow when you roll-over it is for you to edit. This includes the title of your project; also, IMPORTANTLY, the field where you enter the general descriptive text for your project. This field says, "(click here to edit)". (I know this isn't totally clear. We're still tuning the site).
Uploading images should be fairly straightforward. But, if you have any questions ask Melissa or Ebony. the maximum size for an image is approximately 440 pixels (although it seems they can be taller than that). If you upload a larger image it will be automagically resized.
You can always go back and edit anything you've posted.
Also, if you have any comments on the site, whether bugs or features you'd like to see, send them to Melissa or Ebony.

Once you log in you, notice the "HELP" button on the upper right. This tells you how to create links, which can be included in any editable text. The format for links is a little funny; it uses "mark down." Here's the format:
