Perhaps angst                        
             fearful fascination    
                     explains our       
                        enthusiastic       
                        embrace;         
             anxiety               
that technology                      
                 contrary to         
                        enlightened     
                        expectations          
brings inexorably                        
                        increasing      
                        efficient        
                        progressive         
death,                                 
domination,                            
global disintegration,               
                 instead of        
                        universal        
                        harmony;       
    perhaps, hope                 
             that we        
             are not serving     
             our machines      
             for nothing.   
                          
                            Faith 
                                  in the existence
                                  of unknown, invisible,
                                  uncontrollable,
                                  friendly forces
                                       moving under our ignorance,
                                       ruling over avarice,
                             might explain
                             our eager anticipation
                             of salvation; 
                                                  Trust
                                                  that what 
                                                          we can't see
                                                          won't hurt us
                                                              much
                                                              more
